I have my first exhibition in Exeter at the Exeter Community Centre until June.
My work will be on show at The Southville Centre, Bristol in July and The Phoenix, Exeter in August.
The paintings arise from my longstanding interest in British urban scenery. I view areas of sprawl & decay not as eyesores but as subject matter to be explored. It is possible to experience something eternal & mysterious by simply taking a stroll around a town or city, away from recognised attractions. To my eyes everything - weeds, litter, brutalistic architecture - can appear beautiful. Form is a surface concern.
